A train made of Lego bricks has arrived in Cardiff Bay for Christmas A train made of 300,000 Lego bricks has steamed into Cardiff Bay for Christmas. Santa’s Express steam train even has an elf driver plus two carriages which will have 24 presents and a Christmas tree inside – complete with 20 baubles. The brightly-coloured festive train took three months to build and you can see it free of charge. It arrived on time at Mermaid Quay's Tacoma Square on Saturday, November 30 and will be there until  Sunday, January 52020. The Lego Group has acquired the world’s largest online marketplace for adult fans of Lego (Afols), BrickLink. With more than one million registered users in around 200 countries, BrickLink essentially functions as an eBay for Lego users, with Afols using the network to buy and sell individual pieces. The marketplace comprises more than 10,000 stores located in 70 countries. Danish toy giant Lego acquired the platform from Brussels-based investment firm NXMH for an undisclosed sum to “strengthen its connection with its important adult fan base”.
